Meet Ann Michelle Muscato – Founder of Elevate & Soar
Every small business begins with a spark. A passion. A talent. A dream of sharing something meaningful with the world. Mine began on a ballroom dance floor.
For ten years, I owned and operated a ballroom dance studio, helping people discover confidence, joy, and connection through dance. Like many small business owners, I poured my heart into every detail — serving clients, leading a team, managing the business, and constantly trying to balance all the moving pieces.
Then the world changed.
When COVID-19 arrived, my studio — like so many small service businesses — faced the very real possibility of closing its doors. What followed was one of the most challenging seasons of my life as an entrepreneur. I knew I couldn’t do it alone, so I did something many business owners hesitate to do.
I asked for help.
I joined a small creative arts business coaching program, placing myself in the same position many of my clients find themselves in today — overwhelmed, searching for answers, and determined not to give up on something I loved.
Little by little, things began to change. New business growth strategies replaced chaos. Clear strategies replaced uncertainty. Confidence slowly replaced fear. The business that once felt like it was collapsing began to stabilize… then grow… and eventually thrive again.
In the end, I was able to turn the studio around and several years later sell it for a profit — something that once felt unimaginable during those uncertain days.
That journey became my transformation. Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, I realized that what once felt like the end of something was actually the beginning of something new.
Today, through Elevate & Soar, I help other small service business owners experience that same small business transformation. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by all the roles you must play — marketer, manager, creator, problem-solver. I also know the incredible peace that comes when your business finally begins to work with you instead of against you.
My mission is to help small business owners move from overwhelm to clarity… from chaos to calm… and from surviving to soaring.
And yes, I’m still a creator at heart. These days you’ll often find me crocheting — another small creative business that reminds me daily that passion, joy, and entrepreneurship can beautifully coexist. Because when the right structure, guidance, and support come together… transformation happens.
And sometimes all it takes is the right moment, the right support, and the courage to spread your wings.
